Dress Rehearsal: This year a full cosume and make-up Dress Rehearsal will be held in your final class at Arabesque before the May 15th Recital. More information will be forthcoming as to what time parents can come in to view this final rehearsal and videotape or take pictures if they choose to.

Recitals: Saturday, May 15th at 1:00pm and 7:00pm

Recitals: Sunday, May 16th at 2:00pm

Arabesque's annual recital is one of the highlights of our program. Our spring recital is usually held in May.

We will have a full Dress Rehearsal during your child's last class prior to the May 15th recital. We hold two performances on Saturday at 1:00pm and 7:00pm , and a 2:00pm Sunday performance. During the actual shows our dancers will be supervised by parent volunteers in their dressing rooms. Refreshments are available for our audience during intermission, and "Arabesque-wear" is sold in the lobby. Single roses are available for purchase for busy parents and grandparents who would like to acknowledge their special dancer's performance with this traditional gift. Professionally made DVDs of the entire recital are available for purchase. Individual and group recital photographs are taken during the time of the dancer's class in April.

Our annual recital is known for its high quality of dance. Professionally made costumes, scenery, and lights add to our wonderful show. Because costumes have become costly we have an annual candy bar sale (August-October) to help dancers earn money toward their total costume bill. Costumes cost on average of $55.00-$65.00 each.

We always have a few surprises in store for our audiences. Our alumni tell us that the recital is a highlight in their memories of their years of dancing. The camaraderie and teamwork among our dancers truly provides these young people with a positive learning experience. These early theatrical experiences foster confidence, self-esteem, and poise that our students carry with them long after their dancing days are over. We have parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends who continue to attend our recital every year even though their loved one is no longer in it.
